Privacy Policy
Who We Are
TooSharp Learning is the education platform of Too Sharp, LLC, based in Maryland. We provide barber education, service booking, and apprenticeship resources. Contact: info@toosharplearning.com
Information We Collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide, including:
- Booking requests: name, email, phone, preferred service and time
- Apprenticeship applications: name, contact details, experience level, motivation
- Contact form submissions: name, email, message
- Newsletter sign-ups: email address
We do not currently collect payment information directly. If payment processing is added, it will be handled by a PCI-compliant third-party provider.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to booking requests and confirm appointments
- To review apprenticeship applications
- To respond to contact inquiries
- To send educational updates if you subscribe to our newsletter
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Retention
We retain submitted information for as long as needed to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, and no longer than the periods set out below. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
Members and Accounts
If you create an account we store your username, email address, and — where you hold a training membership — your plan type, start date, any expiry date, and internal notes such as a payment reference. See our Training Access Terms for how memberships work.
Service Providers
We use a small number of third parties to run this business. Each processes data only on our instructions:
- Booksy — handles appointment booking. If you book through Booksy, their own privacy policy (opens in a new tab) applies to everything you do on their platform. We are not responsible for their data handling.
- Our email provider — delivers booking confirmations, application acknowledgements, and newsletters.
- Render — hosts this website and its database.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies only: a CSRF token for form security, a session cookie so the booking flow works, and — if you sign in — a cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not set advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies.
How Long We Keep Data
- Booking requests — kept for 2 years, so we can handle repeat clients and disputes
- Apprenticeship applications — kept for 2 years from the decision
- Contact form messages — kept for 1 year
- Newsletter subscriptions — kept until you unsubscribe
- Accounts — kept while active; you can ask us to delete yours at any time
Age
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. Apprenticeship applicants must be at least 16, which is the minimum age set by the Maryland Board of Barbers. If an applicant is under 18, a parent or guardian should be involved in the application.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To make a request, email info@toosharplearning.com.
